Aswer Garcia is a Mexican artist, art director, and tattoo artist who states his emotions in profound and magical illustrations. Inspired by pre-hispanic Mexican culture, he transforms concepts into visual stories, often referencing fragments of Ancient Mexico Cosmovision.

Approaching narratives such as self-expression, healing, and growth his versatile technique gives his work a big spectrum of manifestation: from pencil-on-paper drawings and digital illustrations to silk-screen prints, tattoos, beer labels, or even clothing designs.

“Today seeds, flowers tomorrow”

Often he gives us a closer look by sharing a few paragraphs about what inspired his artwork. These descriptive paragraphs, to my interpretation: poems, allow me to connect on a deeper level, empathize and relate to my personal growth and experiences. This closeness and the healing capacity of his artwork make me feel a deep connection to every piece he creates.

“I allow myself to feel what in the heart is”

“Sólo volamos con lo que hemos amado en tierra, sólo se quedará todo eso que hicimos con lo que sentimos.
Disfrutar de la vida se facilita sintiendo y diciendo lo que hay dentro sin importar si es agradable o desagradable. No calles lo que el corazón tiene que decir, déjalo ir con el viento.” Post original text.

“We only fly with what we have loved on the ground, only all that we did with what we feel will remain.
Enjoying life is facilitated by feeling and saying what is inside, regardless of whether it is pleasant or unpleasant. Don't silence what the heart has to say, let it go with the wind.”

His entrepreneurial spirit, energy, and attitude towards life are something to emphasize, not just because of what he has accomplished at his young age but by doing so with a positive attitude, humbleness, and raw vulnerability.

I believe the highest quality of his work is the openness and vulnerability that every illustration is charged with. His art, for me, is a hug for the soul and got me expectant to see what he does next.

I hope you find his artwork as charging and transformative as I do.

If you enjoy his artwork support him by following him on Instagram, sharing his profile with your friends and family, or acquiring one of his Illustrations on his website (deliveries available around the world).
